Fabric Requirements:
- 1 1/2 yards of dark for blocks, border, and binding
- 1 yard of light for the background
- 1/2 yard each light and medium fabric for blocks
- 1 1/8 yards backing
- 39 x 39 piece of batting

BEFORE CLASS:
- Make 38 copies of the foundation pattern on page 39 of the book. IMPORTANT - Before making copies read the first paragraph on page 8- Paper Foundations.

- Iron all fabrics - starch heavily when ironing. This helps while working with bias edges. If using batiks- wash, dry and starch when ironing

- Follow cutting instructions on page 37. To keep fabrics organized, I suggest labeling each group of pieces with its measurements using a slip of paper or sticky note, keeping colors together on a paper plate. Then place all plates in a gallon size zip lock baggy. They will be easier to keep track and move pieces as needed.
