Tips for making a T-Shirt Quilt

For good fusing, wash and dry all shirts without fabric softener or dryer softener. 

Cut the T-shirt somewhat larger-than-desired-size block. This will allow fusible interfacing to cover the entire block area.

Use woven fusible interfacing, available in white or black, to back the stretchy knits or T-shirt. Apply according to manufacture's directions.

Use a pressing cloth to protect the logo/design from a hot iron.

Sew using a 90/14 stretch needle-also increase the stitch length (if necessary)

1/4" - 1/2" seam allowance - a walking foot and a sharp blade in the rotary cutter are good habits.
